It was discovered in 1960 in the area of Kom El Dekka by the Polish mission with the Egyptian government during the removal of the remains of a castle dating from the time of the French expedition commanded by Napoleon Bonaparte, this castle was used as a meeting council for the Christians, where symbols of the cross that were found engraved on the columns.
